Terms & Conditions
By accepting the quote given by Medieval World, whether verbally or in writing (which shall include email) the Booker
agrees to the following Terms and Conditions.
The Booker
is to pay Medieval World the agreed Fee.
The Fee
is to be paid at the time of the Presentation
unless a Prior Arrangement
has been made. If a Prior Arrangement
has been made, then the Fee
is to be paid in accordance with the Prior Arrangement.
If the Booker
cancels, postpones or in any way refuses or declines the Presentation
when the Presenter
has left the Medieval World base to travel to the Venue, then the Booker
must pay the agreed Fee.
If the Booker
cancels, postpones or otherwise refuses or declines the Presentation
before the Presenter
has left the Medieval World base, then the Booker
will not have to pay the agreed Fee.
The Booker
is responsible for ensuring that the Venue
meets all statutory and legal requirements and is fit for the use to which it will be put during the Presentation.
Medieval World is responsible for:
Ensuring that the Presentation
is delivered at the Venue
and on the date and time specified by the Booker.
The Presenter
holds valid DBS clearance.
Ensuring that valid Public Liability insurance is in force.
Ensuring that, for the Presentation
only, valid Risk Assessments and, if required, Safe Systems of Work are in force under the terms of current Health and Safety legislation.
Any and all photographs taken of the Presenter
and Presentation, whether by individuals, amateur or professional photographers, are for the private and personal use of the Booker
only, and may not be used for any commercial purpose, including advertising or publicity, without the written permission of Medieval World.
Data Protection
Any information provided to Medieval World will be stored and processed in compliance with the laws of the UK. No such information will be shared or provided to a third party without your written permission. However, if Medieval World is required to disclose that data or information in order to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process served on Medieval World, then Medieval World will have no alternative but to do so.
Definitions and Interpretations
Fee
- the price set out in the Booking Confirmation letter and Invoice.
Booker
- the person booking the
Presentation
whether on behalf of themselves or an organisation.
Presenter
- the person from Medieval World who delivers the
Presentation.
Presentation
- the services supplied by Medieval World.
Prior Arrangement
- an agreement made between Medieval World and the
Booker
detailing when and how the
Fee
is to be paid.
Venue
- the building/premises where the
Presentation
will be delivered.
