The Medieval World presenter will provide a living history talk about:

Life and Death in a Victorian Gaol

Our presenter will be dressed either as a Victorian gaoler or a hangman.
Our presenter will tell of the life of a prisoner and convict in a Victorian gaol. He will tell what the term "hard labour" really meant, the differences between prisons and gaols and convicts and prisoners will be discussed as well as how capital punishment was carried out

The presentation will be illustrated with items from the Victorian penal system and there will be a static display for perusal. The audience is encouraged to handle the items on display.

Schools
Living History is now recognised as being an excellent method of bringing the past to life. It is neither easy nor cheap for schools to take students to outside visits, so let Medieval World bring living history to you.
It has been proven that learning and understanding is best achieved by doing. Our presenter will encourage students to be fully active and involved in all our presentations.
Our sessions are based on the National Curriculum and can last from one hour to half a day to a full day, depending on your requirements. Please contact Medieval World for a price. You will be pleasantly surprised as it is very affordable!
Expenses will be agreed at the time of booking so that there are no nasty surprises on the invoice.

The invoice can be delivered prior to the presentation or on the day. Payment would be appreciated on the day, but in any case within 7 days of the presentation.
